_Silver Wedding Notice Advertiser 21 June 1928 The
friends of Mr. and Mrs J. Galliasch spent a pleasant afternoon and
evening at their home, "Birdwood Farm," Nuriootpa, to celebrate their
silver wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Gallasch received 40 guests in the
dining-room, which was decorated with white flowers, silver trimmings,
and autumn leaves. After tea speeches were made by Messrs J. Gersch, A.

GLENN
_Golden Wedding Notice Advertiser and Register 2 April 1931 Mr.
and Mrs. William Glenn, of Lincolnn-street, Rosewater, recently
celebrated their golden wedding. They were married in the Alberton
Baptist Church on March 22, 1881, by the late Rev. Morgan Lloyd. Mr.
Glenn was employed by the South Australian Railways Department for 48
years. Born In Lincolnshire 76 years ago, Mr. Glenn came to South
Australia on the sailing ship Hydeaspies. He Joined the Railway
Department In 1878 and was appointed stationmaster at Mount Bryan and
two years later was shifted to Hawker. In 1896 he was transferred to
Mitcham. Subsequently Mr. Glenn became clerk and collector at Port
Adelaide, which position he held until 1900, when he was appointed chief
goods clerk at Port Pirie. He was stationed at Port Pirie until he
retired in June. 1925. Mrs. Glenn, who was born at Gumeracha 70 years
ago. wss formerly Miss Margaret Helen Mackay, eldest daughter of the
late Mr. John Mackay, Port Adelaide manager of the Farmers' Co-operative
Union. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn's family comprise seven sons and three
daughters, all of whom were at the golden wedding celebration. They are

Glenn (Peterborough), R. J. Glenn (Solomontown), R. H. G. Glenn

_Golden Wedding Notice Advertiser 2 May 1899 Mr.
and Mrs. W. H. Graham, well known residents of Melbourne-street, North
Adelaide celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding day on
Tuesday April 25. They were married at Enfield, London, in 1849, and
arrived in the colony in 1852. The first few years were spent at Happy
Valley, and they then removed to Gumeracha, - remaining there for many
years. The gathering took place at the residence of their son-in-law,
John Hutton, of Gilberton, and numerous friends were present to
congratulate them. The customary toasts were honoured and the best
wishes of the gathering were that the good health enjoyed by Mr and Mrs
Graham might continue for many years.

_Golden Wedding Notice Advertiser 14 June 1901 Gawler, June 13. The
golden Wedding of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Green, old residents of the town,
has been celebrated. All the children of the respected couple were
present, with the ex- ception of two, who live outside of South
Australia. A happy family gathering was the result, and hearty were the
congratulations extended to the venerable pair. Many old friends also
called, and amongst- those who proffered felicitations were the mayor
and mayoress of Gawler and Mr. E. H. Coombe, M.H.A. Mr. and Mrs. Green,
who are 77 and 74 years old respectively, are natives of Wiltshire, and
were united in wedlock at Devizes, in that county. They lived in Wales
for 11 years, and came to this State in the ship Lincoln in 1865. They
settled straightway at Gawler, and have lived there ever since. They
have five sons and two daughters. Mr. Henry Green, of Gawler South; Mr.
W. G. Green of Melbourne; Mr. Samuel Green, of Cape Town; Mr. Joseph
Maslen Green, of Gawler; Mr. Edwin Green, of Yongala; Mrs H. J. Burge,
of Lyndoch; and Miss Green of Gawler. There are also eight grand
children. Mr. Green is a patriarch amongst Oddfellows, for he has been a
member of the Manchester Unity since 1844, passed through the chairs in
England, and twice in Gawler, and was lecture-master for over 15 years.

couple are well-known for their kindness and charitableness, and are

I. A., and W. C. Gully-two sons-in-law- Rev. W. A. Bainger and Mr. G.
