_Silver Wedding Notice, The Advertiser 15 January 1927 To
celebrate the silver wedding of Mt and Mrs V. De Gilio, of Alberton a
large number a large number relatives and friends met at the R.A.O.B.
Hall, Alberton. Mr. T.A. Hutchinson presided, and at the head table were
seated the father and mother of the bride, and Miss Gatty who acted as
bridesmaid 25 years ago. The chief toast was in the hands of Mr. Frank
Condon, M.P., who was supported by Messrs Gadaletea, Charles, and
Hatchinson, and Mr De Gilio responded. After supper dancing was indulged
in, Mr. Hutchinson acting as M.C. A band of musicians was present, and
the singing by miss Vera Harding and Master De Gilio was much
appreciated. Caps and streamers were handed to each guest.

_Golden Wedding Notice Advertiser 4 October 1898 Mr.
and Mrs. G. S. De Rose, who arrived in this colony in 1865 by the
Jessie Isabel, celebrated their golden wedding on Saturday afternoon. As
a little surprise to the "old folk" Mr, Charles H. De Rose (son) had
invited all the members of the family together with grandchildren and
some intimate friends to assemble at his residence at Gilberton.
Setaro's Band enlivened the proceedings and the catering was in the
hands of Mr. F.Brickneil. Mr. C. Stone, who was a passenger to
Australia by the same vessel, in a happy speech proposed the health of
Mr. and Mrs De Rose, and spoke of the high esteem in which they were
held by all who knew them. The toast was heartily responded to, Mr. De
Rose being received with "three times threw," and very feelingly
acknowledged the kindness of his friends. A photograph of the party was
taken, and the guests in various ways spent what was unanimously
declared to be a "jolly good time."
