_Wedding Notice Murray Pioneer 23rd February 1950 NICOLSON - SWINSTEAD WEDDING On January 21 the Berri Methodist Church was beautifully decorated with white flowers for the wedding of Rosemary, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs W.H. Swinstead, of Winkie, to Murray Thomas, son of Mr and Mrs D.J. Nicolson, of Kingswood. The Rev. R. Brook officiated and Mrs R.P. James was organist. The bride who entered the church with her father, was attractively frocked in a gown of French Lame lace featuring a deep neckline edged with frilled revers and fastened to the waist with miniature pearl buttons. The skirt fell gracefully into a short train, and peaked sleeves were worn to the wrist. Her finger-top tulle veil, originally worn by her paternal grandmother, was held by a corocnet of orange blossom and the bouquet was of water lilies and tuberoses. Her only attendant was her sister Monica, who wore a crsip self patterned white organdie overgold taffeta. Her fitting bodice with its deep neckline was finished with a double collar. The gold tonings of the tiger lilies and frangipani made an unusual note. She wore a circlet of frangipani ihn her hair. Mr Noel Bantisch was best man. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Berri Hotel. The bridal couple spent their honeymoon in the Eastern States. For travelling the bride wore an orchid pink frock with tucked bolero and hat to match, with brown accessories.
