Death Notice Chronicle 1st December 1917 Private A. J. KAIRL, third son of Mr. and Mrs. 0. J. Kairl. He was not yet 21 years of age. Ho was born at Laura, and learnt the trade of a blacksmith. He enlisted at the beginning of 1916, and sailed on April 18 with the 56th Battalion. He went through many fights in France and had never once been hit until 1 October 10, -when he was killed.

Burial Notice The South Australian Advertiser 23 June 1859 On Saturday last, the I8th inst., the funeral of the late Mr. W. J. Kerr, storekeeper, of Clare, took place. The obsequies were attended by a great number of the deceased's friends and neighbours from all parts of the district. Previous to the cortege moving from the residence of the deceased, an appropriate and impressive address was delivered by Mr. Kelly ; after which the procession moved to the burial ground of the Scotch Church, of which deceased was a member. Mr. Kerr has been a storekeeper and brewer in Clare for about 10 years, and was much esteemed for his integrity, perseverance, and industry. He has left a widow and three children to lament their bereavement.

Death Notice Burra Record 24 April 1907 KIEKEBUSCH.— On April 22, at the Burra Hospital (through a trap accident), Julius R. W. Kiekebusch. Aged 25 years.
DEATH OF MR. KIEKEBUSCH. Regained Consciousness. A Sadden End. Mr. Julius Kiekebusch, second son of Mr. Emil Kiekebusch, who met with an accident on the World's End road about a fortnight ago, throuch being thrown from a sulky died at the Burra Hospital on Monday at about 12 o'clock. The news of the young man's death spread like wildfire throughout the town, and expressions of regret was expressed on all sides for the bereaved family. It will be remembered that Mr Kiekebusch was found by his brother-in-law (Mr Rooke) on April 8 in an unconscious state on the road side, and the patient was removed to the Burra Hospital, where he remained unconscious until Saturday last. The greatest hopes were entertained when he so far recovered as to recognise his relatives. On Sunday he was fairly well, but on Monday morning he was particularly bright, and conversed with those at his bedside. At about 12 o'clock, however, convulsions overtook the patient, and being particularly severe Mr Kiekebusch did not recover. The late Mr Kiekebusch was very popular amongst a host of friends, and owing to his jovial disposition made friends wherever he went. The deceased was a member of the Burra Orchestra, and was a very good musician generally. A short time ago he composed 'The Phosphate Waltz,' the name being derived from the phosphate fields at World's End,, and was considered by those qualified to judge as an excellent composition. About two months ago. he joined the Ancient Order of Foresters.The remains of the deceased were conveyed to his father's residence at Baldina this morning, and the funeral will take place to-day at 2 o'clock.
