The church was decorated, by friends of the bride in pink and white flowers. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law (Mr. Bruce Hardy), entered the church as the congregation sang "The Voice that Breathed o'er Eden." She wore a gown of white crepe de chine, full flared, ankle length skirt, with tight-fitting bodice, long sleeves, and basque finished with a brilliant buckle at the waist. At the back of the bodice was a flight of tiny bows, which made a pretty finish. The bridal veil was arranged off the face with sprigs of orange blossom on each side, and was held in place across the back of the head with a silver ribbon bow and long streamers. It fell in folds to form the train. She carried a sheaf of pale pink stocks and sweet peas, tied with a large white tulle bow and streamers. The bridesmaids were Miss Hazel Sharp, gowned in apricot georgette with full flared ankle-length skirt, cape collar and basque, finished with bows at the neck and waist. She wore long silk gloves, with hat and shoes to match, and carried a bouquet to tone, with long streamers. Miss Elvie Lewitzke was gowned in pale green georgette with full-flared ankle length skirt, also a cape collar finished with bows at the neck and waist. She wore long gloves with hat and shoes to match, and carried a bouquet to tone, with long streamers. Two little nieces of the bride and bridegroom, Betty West snd Valda Robinson, acted as flower girls. They were dressed in Early Victorian lavender georgette down to the ankles, with poke bonnets of silk net to match, and they carried baskets of lavender and pink sweet peas. The bridegroom gave the bridesmaids gold and silver tissue evening wallets, and the little flower girls little bunch bags. Mr. Herbert Lewitzke was best man, and Mr. Norm. Magrath groomsman. The bride's mother was frocked in navy blue moracain, with white crepe de chine vest. She wore a black and white hat, and carried a posy of king violets. The bridegroom's mother wore black morocain and carried a posy of hyacinths and stocks. After the ceremony party guests were entertained at a reception held at the home of the bride's mother. The bride's travelling dress was a wine fleck with white trimmings. She also had a hat and bag to tone. The bride and bridegroom left later by motor car for Queensland.

McMillan (late of Tarlee) was celebrated at the Naracoorte Methodist Church on Saturday, January 14. The church was beautifully decorated by the comrades with bowls of gladioli and dahlias, with bows of cellophane and a posy marking the guests' seats. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father. The bodice of her frock was of needle run lace, with long sleeves, coming to a point at the wrists, an off-shoulder effect with tulle yoke and Bertha collar, finished with orange blossom. She wore a very full flared skirt of two layers of tulle over taffeta and a veil of tulle arranged with natural flowers at the side of the head completed her toilet, and she carried a sheaf of gladioli, roses and gypsophila tied with satin streamers. The bride was attended by Miss Joan Bainger in a frock of green organdie over taffeta made on similar lines, and she carried a sheaf of pink gladioli and green molucca balm. Miss Maxine Wicks, younger sister of the bride, was a miniature bridesmaid in self sprigged buttercup organdie and carried trails of antirrhinums arranged with tulle. The bridesmaids also wore trails of natural flowers in their hair. As the bride left the church horse-shoes were hung on her arm by a small neice, Kay Galwey, and little Lesley Williams. Mrs K. Hyde presided at the organ and the choir sang "The Blessing". During the signing of the Register Miss Audrey Dinning sang very sweetly "My Prayer". The bride's mother wore junior navy with touches of white, also a navy hat with bunches of navy and white ribbons and accessories to tone. A shoulder spray of deep red gladioli with blue agapanthus was worn also. The bridgroom's mother was attired in black moss crepe with touches of pink and a black off the face hat and accessories, with a shoulder spray of pink gladioli. About 100 guests were received at a reception held in the Town Hall. Miss Dorothy and Mr Ron Rowe sang the duet "Until" and Mr Ron Rowe rendered "O Promise Me." The bride's travelling frock was of aqua moss crepe with burgundy hat and accessories, and she wore a shoulder spray of carnations to tone. The happy couple left by car to catch the Melbourne express for Lorne, where the honeymoon was spent.

The church was tastefully decorated, and Miss Old presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, was becomingly gowned in crepe de chene, trimmed with ninon, silk all over lace, silk balls and pearls, the tunic being edged with silk balls and the train caught up with silk trimming and decked with orange blossom and pearls; she also wore the customary wreath and veil; and carried a choice bouquet. Miss Bessie E. Wharff, the first bridesmaid was dressed in white embroidered voile, wore a mob cap, relieved with pale pink roses, and carried a posy of pink flowers and streamers. Miss Annie Steinle, youngest sister of the bride, was second bridesmaid, and was attired in pink voile with white collar and cuffs, while she wore a mob cap and carried a posy of pink flowers. Mr Oliver Willcock, brother of the groom acted as best man, and Master Willie Steinle, youngest brother of the bride, as groomsman. Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party, together with a few intimate friends, adjourned for the wedding breakfast to the late residence of the bride's parents, where the happy couple will reside, Mr and Mrs Steinle having resolved to take up their residence in Adelaide. A noticeable absentee from the ceremony was Miss Rose Steinle, who was unfortunately too ill to be present. Mr and Mrs Willcock were the recipients of a choice selection of presents.

The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, and was charmingly frocked in white crepe satin, ankle length, with long sleeves. Her tight-fitting pointed bodice, was decorated with gathered godets let into a flared petal skirt, and from her shoulder hung a knotted tie at the back; also on her left shoulder was a spray of flowers. Her veil (which was lent by Mrs. Fitzgerald, of Adelaide) was long, edged with silver medallions, and was worn cap fashion, with, a single trail of orange blossom, and a cluster of pearls over each ear. She also wore white satin shoes and white stockings, and carried a bouquet of sweet peas, roses, and fern. The first bridesmaid. Miss Iris Angel (cousin of bride) was frocked in powder blue satin, ankle length, with flared skirt on tight fitting bodice, and with back cape hanging from the shoulder. She also wore blue shoes, champagne stockings, a large tulle bow as headdress, and carried a bouquet of mauve and pink asters, carnations, and fern with streamers to tone. The second bridesmaid was Miss Mavis Charlick, of Currency Creek, who was dressed in similar fashion. The train bearer, Miss Beryl Wood (cousin of bride), was dressed In a long pink frock, empire style, with blue tulle bow on her hair. Mrs. Wood (mother of bride) was dressed in black moracain, and her hat was decked with an autumn motif. She carried a posy in autumn shades of carnations and wall-flowers. Mrs. Hann (mother of bride groom) wore black crepe de chine with hat en suite, and carried a posy of red carnations. The best man was Mr. Maurice Hann (brother of bridegroom) and grooms man was Mr. Alfred Wood (brother of bride). The Rev. L. D. Keipert (Mallala) was the officiating minister. Miss Ruby Jenkin (Calomba) presided at the organ, and Miss Tonkin (Adelaide) rendered a solo "My Prayer", whilst the register was being signed. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a string of crystal beads. He gave a similar present to the bridesmaids, and to the little train bearer a brooch. A reception was held In the Long Plains hall, after which dancing was indulged in. Mrs. Williams (Mallala) being the pianist. The bride's travelling gown was of navy crepe satin, with long sleeves, long bodice with flared skirt: also a shoulder cape, with knotted tie caught at the waistline at the back. She also wore a pale-blue crinoline straw hat, and navy shoes with brilliant buckles, and champagne stockings. About 200 guests were invited. The bride and bridegroom's future home will be at Hindmarsh Island.

Wedding Notice West Coast Sentinel 3rd April 1915 Fowlers Bay Correspondent - March 30th A pretty wedding was celebrated at Martumba, the residence of the bride's father last Wednesday, 24th inst., when Miss Gertrude Hilda May, eldest daughter of Mr. W.H. Wheadon, and Mr. Findon Arthur Woodforde were married by the Rev. Humpherys. The bride who was given away by her father, looked charming in a gown of cream satin. In attendance as bridesmaids were Misses Nellie and Myrtle Wheadon (sisters of the bride), who were dressed in white silk muslin and carried blue bouquets with streamers of blue ribbon. Mr Jas. Wheadon (brother of the bride) acted as best man, and Mr. Wm. (another brother) as groomsman. After the ceremony a large number of friends and relatives adjourned to the wedding breakfast, at which the usual toasts were honoured. The presents were numerous and beautiful and included several cheques.
