_Inquest Notice Naracoorte Herald 25th January 1876 On Friday, the 14th January, Mrs Sarah Williams, wife of Richard Williams, farmer, Hundred of Glenroy, died suddenly. After returning from bringing luncheon to her husband and son, who were working in the harvest field, she was nursing her grandchild, and feeling ill, called to her daughter (Mrs Gare) to take the child. She fell and got up, and was then assisted to bed, but died in a few minutes. It appeared from her husband and daughter's evidence deceased had complained of a pain and swelling in her right side and palpitation of the heart - probably immediate cause of disease of the heart. This was the purport of the evidence given at the inquest held on Saturday, the 15th inst., before Mr. H.L. Sprigg, at her late residence, Hundred of Glenroy. The jury brought in the following verdict:- "That the deceased, Sarah Williams, died from natural causes.

Court Notice Naracoorte Herald 5 January 1950 Traffic Act Breaches William Arthur Williams, of Naracoorte, was fined 10/- with 10/- costs when he pleaded guilty to having driven a motorvehicle along Smith Street and failed to yield right of way to a vehicle approaching from his right. Commenting on the case, the Court considered that the corner where the defendant's vehicle was involved in a collision (Smith street and Kincraig Place) was a dangerous intersection. They considered a "Stop" sign in Kincraig Place would be an advantage and would prevent vehicles from coming out of that street into the path of vehicles using the main road.

Law Court Notice South Australian Chronicle & Weekly Mail January 1873 Police Court - Adelaide, Saturday December 28 William Witherick, wheelwright, was charged by John East, cabdriver, with stealing a watch and chain, value £2. The prosecutor stated that he left his watch and chain at the house of a Mr. and Mrs. Burns, in Eliza-street, where prisoner had been stopping, and that shortly afterwards the articles were missed, Witherick declaring that he had not taken them. Other evidence showed that prisoner pawned the watch, and was subsequently arrested by Dectective Ramsay, who in reply to questions by His Worship, spoke highly of the prisoner's character, and of his contrition for this theft. The prosecutor expressed a wish to withdraw the charge, saying that he believed the theft was committed under the influence of liquor. His Worship said, under the circumstances, he should allow the charge to be withdrawn. The prisoner was liberated.

Divorce Notice The Advertiser 8 December 1933 In the Supreme Court yesterday Mr. Justice Angas Parsons granted an order nisi for divorce to the plaintiff in the following undefended action for divorce:- Olive Myrtle Woodhead, of Park terrace, Parkside against Tom Woodhead, Commercial Hotel, Gawler place, Adelaide, on the ground of misconduct. The question of custody of the children was referred into chambers, and the question of maintenance to the Master. Woodhead was ordered to pay Mrs. Woodhead's costs of the action. Mr. G.D. Rollison appeared for Mrs. Woodhead.
WRIGHT Harriett
_Court Notice Port Lincoln Times 18th Janaury 1940 On Tuesday, January 16, before Mr.W.V. Ray, S.M., Mrs Harriett Wright of Lake Wangary, was charged with sending an indecent article through the post. She was found guilty, and fined £5, with costs 10/- and witness fees £1 19/-. The magistrate said this was a particularly indecent case, and he thought this fine would protect other people from receiving such letters.
