A wedding ceremony took place recently in the St. Philip's and St. Jame's Church, Noarlunga, the parties being Miss S E M. Mudge, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Mudge, of Gloucester House, McLaren Vale, and Mr. W. Sisson, eldest son of the late J.T. Sisson of East Adelaide. The bride wore a dress of cream cashmere profusely trimmed with lace insertion and narrow ribbon. A shower boquet, composed of white chrysanthemums and asparagus fern, with long streamers, a wreath of orange blossom, and veil completed the toilette. The bridesmaids were Miss E.B. Deane and Miss A.S. Mudge. Both were dressed alike in deep cream nun's veiling and white felt hats with tips; boquets of yellow chrysanthemums and asparagus fern were carried. Mr. S. Mudge acted as best man, and also gave away the bride. The Rev. T. Wood officiated. After the ceremony the bridal party and guests were returned to the house of the bride's mother at McLaren Vale, where the breakfast was partaken of, after which Mr. and Mrs. W. Sisson departed on their honeymoon tour to Mount Barker and the city. The birde's travelling dress was of silver-grey cashmere trimmed with white satin and lace, and hat of silk straw, with chenille and white plumes.

Wedding Notice Advertiser and Register 4 September 1931 Last Saturday evening, at the Kangarilla Methodist Church, the marriage was celebrated of Cecil elder son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Smart, of Hills View, Clarendon, and Pearl Petrel, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Paddick, of Yaroona, Kangarilla. The Rev. A. K. J'Ansen officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father was smartly gowned in ivory satin, the bodice moulded to the figure, and with long sleeves and flared skirt. The embossed tulle bridal veil, which was edged with silver lace, was lent by her sister (Mrs Micks). It was worn cap-wise, and held in place by a bandeau of orange blossom buds and formed the train. She carried a sheaf of white camellias with a touch of pink with pink streamers, and wore a pearl necklet. The three bridesmaids, Misses Hope and Ada Paddick (bride's sisters), and Miss Elsie Thomas, were in different colors; —blue, apricot, and pink crepe de chine ankle length, with long sleeves, and large bows at the back of waist. The lace straw hats matched each frock. They carried early Victorian posies of heucllera. Miss Betty Beck (bride's niece) was flower girl in rose pink georgette; early Victorian style, and she carried a basket of blossoms to tone. Mr. Vernon Smart was best man, and Messrs. Ralph and Boyce Paddick groomsmen. A reception was held in tbe Kangarilla Hall, when more than 100 guests were entertained. The hall was decorated with blue, apricot, and pink streamers, and the tables arranged with Iceland poppies. The bride's mother (Mrs. Paddick) was gowned in cocoa toned silk marocain with touches of fawn, with hat en suite, and she carried a posy of autumn-tinted flowers. Mrs. Smart (bridegroom's mother) wore a light navy wool crepe de chine ensemble, and carried a posy of red rosebuds. The bride's travelling frock was of fawn marocain, with lace collar and cuffs worn with a nigger brown face cloth coat, with lambs wool collar and a hat to match.

Kluge, to Robert Ian, youngest son of Mr and Mrs R.J.W. Smith of Barmera, was celebrated on Saturday, January 28, at 7p.m., at the Barmera Congregational Church. An arch in front of the pulpit was decorated and a silver bell hung in the centre. This was the work of Mesdames Dingwell, Nickolls and L. Cole The Rev. R.F. Woods was the officiating Clergyman, and Mrs. H. Millar was organist. The bride wore a beautiful white lace gown, with the edges bordered with pleated tulle. The neckline was shaped and the skirt was three tiered. The frock was loaned by the bride's sister-in-law, Mrs. P. Kluge. An embroidered tulle veil was held in place with pleated tulle and orange blossom. Th bride wore the groom's gift, a three-strand pearl necklace. She wore earrings to match and carried a sheaf of pink and white gladioli. The bride was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. R.A. Poole. The bridesmaids were Misses Audrey Smith (bridegroom's sister) and Melva Kluge (bride's sister). They were frocked in pink lace frocks, made with portrait collars, and a scalloped peplum at the waist. The skirts had cascade frills falling to the hem of the frocks at the back. They wore apple green tulle mittens, and shoulder veils over pleated circlets on their hair. The best man was Mr. Richard Caddy and the groomsman was Mr. Wilfred Hatch. During the signing of the register Mrs. O. Pengilly rendered the solo "Oh Promise Me". As the bride left the church lucky horseshoes were hung on her arm by little Janet Lowe and Lorraine Smith (Neices of the bridegroom) and Ann Drogmuller. The bride's mother wore a black frock, with hat and accesories to match. The bridegroom's mother chose a black beaded frock and black hat and accessories. The reception was held in the coffee lounge of the Barmera Hotel, where a buffet breakfast was served. Music was supplied by Mrs. H. Millar, Miss Irene Lowe, Mr Len Spencer and Bob Norton. Mrs Pengilly was soloist. For travelling the bride wore a blue frock, beige coat and white accessories. The couple's future home will be at Barmera.

Marriage Notice West Coast Sentinel 11th March 1916 SPEED - FELTUS At St. Augustine's church, Streaky Bay, on Tuesday evening last, by Rev. Canon Howard, was celebrated the marriage of Miss Amy Feltus, fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs John Feltus, of Streaky Bay to Mr Willie Speed, second son of Mr W.D. Speed of Plympton. The church was crowded, and as the bride passed down the aisle on the arm of her father, and the party took their places at the altar, after passing under an arch of bamboo, from which was suspended a large wedding bell, the organ peeled impressively. The bride was charmingly attired in white silk, with over-dress of shadow lace, trimmed with pearls and orange blossom, while the train was similarly decked and the long veil was suspended from amob cap. She carried a large bouquet of white everlastings and fern. The bridesmaid ( sister of the bride), wore a pinafore dress of white voile, trimmed with white satin and pearls, while her mob cap and bouquet had heliotrope bows and streamers respectively. Two train bearers, Emily and Frank Kelsh, looked particularly neat in Roman satin, the little girls dress being trimmed with white lace and pearls and she wore a mob cap, while the boy alos wore a large white hat and feather.Mr Charles Speed ( cousin of the groom) carried out the duties of best man. The wedding march was played by Miss Old. A reception was afterwards held at the institute, where the attendance was again large, and where, after wishes of goodwill had been expressed by the guests, Canon Howard suitably proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom. Dancing, social items and supper filled in the remainder of the evening. Mr and Mrs Speed were the recipients of a handsome and useful assortment of presents, among which were many cheques. At a kitchen tea a week previously, given by her girlfriends, the bride was also generously treated in the way of gifts. Mr and Mrs Speed will take up their residence at "Anlaby", Streaky Bay. Wedding Notice Advertiser and Register 13 August 1931 At the Holy Trinity Church, Lyndoch, on Saturday evening, August 8, the marriage was celebrated of Ada Marian younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Springbett, "Hillside," Lyndoch. and Arnold W. D. (John), elder son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Ahrens. of Sheoak Log. The Rev. C. W. L. Noon officiated, and Mr. E. Crambrook played the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, was gowned in white satin with long tight fitting sleeves, and the bodice, which was modelled to the figure, was slightly shirred. The skirt was fully flared and fell to the ground. The tulle veil, which formed the train, was worn off the face, and caught at the sides with orange blossom. The bride wore a string of pearls (the gift of the bridegroom), and carried a sheaf of lilies. The bridesmaids. Miss Lillian Springbett (sister of the bride) and Miss Rita Bennett, were frocked alike in white satin with tight-fitting bodices cut low at the front and back, and flared skirts worn ankle length. Large hats, pink and green, were worn off the face with satin bows at the back, and satin shoes to match. They both wore crystal necklaces, the gift of the bridegroom, to match the hats, and carried pink posies. Mr. Len Springbett (cousin of the bride) was best man, and Mr. Frank Springbett (brother of the bride) groomsman. The bride's travelling frock was of navy relieved with white, and hat, shoes, and coat to match. The honeymoon is being spent in travelling.

_Wedding Notice Murray Pioneer 12 January 1950 STANLEY - MANN A beautiful wedding tok place in the Karoonda Methodist church at 3p.m. on December 17, when Betty, eldest daughter of Mrs. R.R. Graham and the late Mr C. Mann was married to Roy, only son of Mr and Mrs Stanley, of Hodder, The Rev. Wright officiated. The church was decorated with carnations and gladioli.The bride was given away by her eldest brother, Mr Lance Mann. The bridesmaids were her sister June and a schoolgirl friend from Unley, Miss Joan Murray. The bride's sister was flower girl. The best man, was Mr Gordon Stanley and groomsman, Mr Lindsay Mann. While the register was being signed Mrs J Evans sang "O Promise Me", while Mrs. Le Maistre played the organ. The bride looked charming in a gown of silk net, merging into a train, and a long veil, worked with orchids and held by a coronet of orange blossom. The bridesmaids wore blue and pink organdie, and the flower girl was dressed in a net dress and pale blue underskirt and wore a coronet of blue roses. The bride's mother wore a cream pencil-striped frock and a white hat. The bridegroom's mother wore a blue frock and white hat, both wore a spray of flowers. A reception was held at the home of the bride's mother, at which about 60 guests attended. The young couple will make their home at Waikerie.
