Wedding Notice Naracoorte Herald 23 February 1950 TAYLOR - WESTE -The marriage was solemnised at the Methodist Church, Kingston, on January 28 between Murray, only son of the late Mr and Mrs G.H. Weste, of Stockport, and Rosalie, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs R.B. Taylor, of Kingston. The officiating Minister was the Reverend W.R.T. Ballard. In a graceful gown of Needlerun lace over satin, the bride was a dainty figure as she entered the church with her father to the strains of the Wedding March played by Miss V. Smith. The tight fitting bodice was finished with a row of buttons at the back to the waistline. The full skirt fell into a short train, over which flowed a long tulle veil and a shoulder length veil of tulle with silk embroidered edge fell gracefully from a coronet of orange blossom. The veil was loaned by the bride's sister Betty (Mrs R. Knuckey). The bride carried a satin covered prayer book with white ribbon streamers falling from a posy of Lily of the Valley. She was attended by her youngest sister, Madge (Mrs T.W. Wilkinson) as Matron of Honour, who wore a blue moire taffeta shot with mauve, cut on similar lines the wide scolloped hemline was edged with a double frill of silk net. A blue picture hat was worn and a posy in pink and blue shades carried. The groom was supported by his brother-in-law, Mr Keith Harris. An olive green, self tucked frock with black accessories was the choice of the bride's mother. She wore a corsage of red carnations and roses. The grooms sister, Mrs K Harris, wore a royal blue frock with black accessories and pinned on an autumn spray. The bridal party was set against a delightful formal floral arrangement in pink through to autumn shades in dahlias and gladioli, lightened with blue and white delphiniums, agapanthus and gypsophilia festooned with loops of white ribbon streamers. Posies tied with bows of tulle adorned the guets' pews. This dainty work was in the hands of Mrs. D.W Higgins. Mr John Minns rendered "O Promise Me" and "O Perfect Love" during the signing of the marriage documents. The Girl Comrades formed a guard of honour for the bridal couple as they left the church. The reception was held at the Crown Hotel, where 32 telegrams were read and the usual toasts honoured with Mr. Syd Turner as toast master. The bride travelled in a blue heavy silk crepe bolero frock, with black accessories and black hat trimmed with pink flowers and blue veiling. The honeymoon was spent at Crafers and their future home will be in the Kingston district.

Matrons-of-honour, Mrs. C. Bott and Mrs G Bannister, sisters of the bride, were frocked in lemon organdi with round necklines and deep Bertha Collars. The waistlines and skirts were trimmed with frilled tucks. They wore lemon mittens and coronets of blue flowers with lemon shoulder length veils, and carried trailer bouquets of tiger lillies, gladioli and fern. Marlene Anderson and Helen francis, nieces of the bride, were flower girls in blue organdi frocks. They wore bandeaus of blue tulle and carried baskets of flowers. Mr George Freckleton was groomsman and Mr Alan Freckleton, best man. During the signing of the register, Mr Reg Francis sang the Lord's Prayer, Mr Ray Francis was organist. Horseshoes were hung on the bride's arm by Janice francis and trev Anderson. A reception of 140 guests was held in the Soldier's Memorial Hall. The bride's mother wore a wine crepe ensemble with black accessories. The bridegroom's mother wore an oyster crepe frock with brown accessories. A three tiered cake was made by the bride's mother and iced by Mrs. W.L. Redman. For travelling the bride chose an ice blue crepe frock with white accessories. The honeymoon was spent in Victoria and their home will be in Hynam.

Wedding Notice Naracoorte Herald 19 January 1950 TREGOWETH - COPPING In the Lucindale Methodist Church on December 16, pale pink, lemon and mauve, with greenery was the charming floral decorations, arranged by Miss M.E. Copping and Mrs Green for the wedding of Hazel, daughter of Mrs. S.B. Copping, and the late Mr.W.G. Copping with Kenneth, son of Mr and Mrs E.H. Tregoweth. The bride wore a gown of white heavy slipper satin. The moulded bodice was topped with an off-the-shoulder yoke, hand painted in tinsel, and a very full skirt was pleated into the fitting waist-line, and merged into a long train. A veil of fine embroidered French tulle (Loaned by the bride's mother) was held in place with a top-knot of frangipani and she carried a bouquet of white lillies. The bride entered the church on the arm of her brother Leslie, to the strains of the Wedding March played by Miss M. Copping. The bride's sister Maisie, and friend Rosemary Day, were bridesmaids in bouffant period frocks of lime and nil-green silk tulle, the skirts being trimmed with diagonal frills, in garland fashion. Their bonnets were in mauve straw, with crinoline edge, and trimmed with ribbon bows and pastel bunched flowers under the brim. Baskets of pale pink and mauve flowers were carried. The two flower girls, Julia Ferguson and Valmai Tregoweth, were frocked alike in lavender silk tulle in the same design as the bridesmaids, and wore Dolly Vardon bonnets of lavender tulle and ribbon, trimmed with pastel bunched flowers and carried pink Victorian posies. Robert Copping was best man and Ron Tregoweth (bridegroom's brother) was groomsman. During the signing of the Register Mrs. Les Copping sang "O Promise Me" A reception was held in the Lucidale Institute, and catered for by the Methodist Ladies Guild. Later in the evening the bride changed into a fawn moss crepe suit for travelling. The skirt was fully pleated, and the jacket featured the new button treatment with donkey brown trimming, to which was pinned a spray of autumn toned flowers. A fawn clouch hat trimmed with brown ribbon and veiling with brown accessories, completed her outfit.

_Wedding Notice Murray Pioneer 2 February 1950 TSCHIRPIG - MAYNE Wedding at Moorook St Peter's Church, Moorook, was prettily decorated with gladioli and carnations for the wedding on Saturday, Janaury 14th of Ailsa Jean, daughter of Mrs. J.E. Mayne of Goolwa, and late Mr. Mayne, with Allen Leslie, youngest son of Mr and Mrs C.W.T. Tschirpig of Moorook. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr F.J. Mayne, wore a simply cut gown of white slipper satin, the full skirt merging into a long train on which were sewn small gardenias. Her long tulle veil was held in place with orange blossom. White gladioli were carried. The matron of honour, Mrs. T.C. Burgan, was frocked in wine velvet with a matching Dutch bonnet. Coffee lace edged the neck and sleeves of her dress and brim of her bonnet. Mr. Norman Tschirpig (brother of the bridegroom) was bestman. On leaving the church the bride was presented with several lucky horseshoes. Lovely floral decorations in the reception hall were carried out by Mesdames F.J. Mayne, M.J. Fromm, C.O. Tschirpig and s. Sanders. A feature was the large silver bell with pink and blue streamers falling from each side. Mrs. F.J. Mayne received in pink and navy floral frock worn with white accessories. For travelling the bride chose a pale lime frock with deep rust accessories, and hat and tiger lily spray to tone. The young couple will live in Alawoona.

Schutt, of St. Peters. The bride, who was given away by her father, was smartly gowned in white crepe satin, with the skirt ankle length. The bodice was outlined with diamente trimming. The Honiton lace veil, the beautiful handiwork of Miss Milly Tyler, was arranged cap fashion with diamente and orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of white flowers with a touch of pink. The bridesmaids, Misses E. Schutt and Milly Tyler, were frocked alike in pink and primrose taffeta, with the bodices tight-fitting and ankle length flared skirts. Their bouquets were pink and primrose to match their frocks. Mr. S. Schutt was best man, and the Rev D. Morgan officiated. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents, St. Peters. The parents of the bridal couple received with the wedding party. Mrs. Schutt (bride's mother) was gowned in black celanese and carried a bouquet in autumn tints. Mrs H. Miller, of Pinnaroo (bride groom's mother) wore a navy crepe satin ensemble, with navy hat to match and she carried a bouquet in tango tones. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Tyler left for a honeymoon in the South-East, the bride wearing a smart green chiffon velvet frock with hat to match.
