The Advertiser 20 Febraury 1933 OBITUARY Walter John Axford, of Tucker street, Adelaide, who died as a result of coming in contact with electrically charged wires during his work, was born at Thargomindah, Queensland, in 1887. He was the second son of the late Mr. Thomas Axford and Mrs. M. A. Reed (late of Narracoorte, but now of South terrace Adelaide), and only brother of Mr. L. F. Axford, of Ashford. He was in the "Narracoorte Herald" office for several years, but later followed station life at Binnum, after which be transferred to the city and entered the service of the Adelaide Electric Supply Company, with whom be remained for 22 years until his death. He married Miss Eddie Walton, and has left a widow and four children.
